Chagford Swimming Pool Code of Conduct 2021

This Code of Conduct has been written to ensure all pool users understand the standards of behaviour expected of them. This will help the lifeguards & Tea Shed personnel to ensure your safety and everyone’s enjoyment of the pool.

  1. Treat all other pool users, whether adult or junior, and Pool staff with respect.
  2. Listen to the lifeguards and supervisor and comply with their requests.
  3. All children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
  4. Non-swimmers must keep to the shallow side of the blue line, both in and out of the water.
  5. Suitable swimwear must be worn.
  6. Valuables are left in the changing room at the owner’s risk.
  7. Shallow diving is only safe from the deep end edge of the pool.
  8. Water toys and balls are allowed at the discretion of the lifeguard.
  9. The entire pool site is a no smoking or vaping area, including the car park.
  10. Alcohol/recreational drugs are not allowed at the pool
  11. Failure to respect these rules will lead to immediate exclusion from the site for that day.  Children of age to come on their own (i.e. 9 yrs +) will then be required to attend with a responsible adult until further notice if they are considered to compromise either the safety or enjoyment of other users.
  12. We do not refund any entry or season ticket payments as a result of exclusion, or circumstances beyond our control.                   Thank you for your co-operation which assures that everyone stays safe and enjoys their time at the pool.
